A Brief History of Gag Studios
Gag Studios originally started in Livonia Michigan as a small distributor of Halloween décor made from low density urethane foam. The company had a very limited product line mainly focusing on small table top or wall hung products.
In the early 1990’s I.S.L.E. Laboratories purchased Gag Studios and quickly added new products, to include full size animated characters (props). This was a perfect fit for the company due to our expertise in custom urethane foam molding.
In 1999 the company experienced a major fire that destroyed the main production building. Some of the items lost included the original tooling used to make many of the legacy products.
While this was a major setback, the Halloween industry continued to grow and the Gag Studios product line was not going to be left out.
After re-building Gag Studios designed many new products focusing on static and animated props (characters).
Today Gag Studios still offers many of the original props with a laser focus on quality. We stand behind every prop we make, to include making sure it is packed properly to ensure it “arrives alive”.
Today ISLE Laboratories has a fine reputation for quality custom molded products at a competitive price.
